A Creamware and Lustre Decorated Child's Plate
A beautiful 19th century creamware and lustre child's plate with a sepia transfer depicting Poor Richard's proverbs. The plate has an all round floral decoration which is entirely highlighted in pink Lustre. Its lovely. The transfer is "He that by the plough would thrive, must himself either hold or drive." The plate measures 6" and the conditio is excellent. C 1840. The mate to this plate is also listed.
