The plates are 9", a generous dessert size, and are a white ground with a 2" apple green border. Around the border is a raised decoration surrounding the plate which the artist chose to leave without other decoration. There is a gilt decoration to the inside of the plate, not too ornate. to the center are painted flowers, zinnias, pansies, roses, asters, morning glories, all Spring and Summer blooms. They are colorful and finely detailed. The palatte is one of soft violets, pinks and soft green leaves. There is some paint loss due to age, but nothing to detract from the beauty of this fine set.
