Outstanding is the word for these fine early 19th Century plates. Beautifully hand painted in a palatte of oranges, pinks, and green, on a white ground. The plates are scalloped at the edges, and at each corner there is a cartouche with a shell, which the potter chose not to highlight. Wise, because the rest of the decoration is vibrant. The plates are 9" and C 1820. perfect condition.
Beautifully detailed and decorated these spoons are enamel on gilt decoration. some of the enameling is done in a mosaic style, while other decoration and designs are incorporated. Each is different and are perfect for collecting, and showing off.
Beautifully detailed is this beveled Barbola mirror on stand measuring 8 1/2". Detailed hydrangiaa, daiseys and tulips among other colorful flowers decorate the top of the mirror as a swag. There are minor silver losses to the left bottom portion of the mirror but the charm of the decoration more than makes up for it.
Dating late 19th Century these pictures of 19th Century women arecolorful and very pretty. Gilt Barbola wood frames surround women fashioned in 19th century dress, one is I think Lady Hamilton and the other after a famous portrait also. Swags and flowers decorate these hand carved frames and these make perfect accents for a dressing room or bath. They measure 7 1/2'' by 5 1/2" and the condition is excellent.
These two torquoise cats modeled by Heidi Schoop are charming. Each is wearing an amusing almost human expression and is glazed and decorated. Heidi Schoop"s trademark initials are incorporated into the design, and the detail is striking. Her designs are sought after by decorators and collectors alike. The figures are substantial in weight and the taller is 17 1/2" and 12" wide at the base. the smaller of the two is 11" tall and the base is 9". These will make you smile.
A perfect English C1900 Barbola vanity mirror on stand. Decorated allover with Barbola roses and flowers on wood this mirror is a real treat. Highly unusual because of the stand, the mirror tilts, and there are no chips or damage. I love these English Barbola mirrors, this one stands on two feet, 18" high and 14" wide. The workmanship is outstanding.
Victorian set of Bristol Glass cream and sugar with Sheffield surround. The sugar is double handeled and the creamer is in a matching pattern. The Sheffield mounts are decorated with ivy and flowers. A very special set, C 1860, and perfect shabby chic.
This is a beautiful 19th Century Coalport Friendship two handled mug. The mug is hand painted with cabbage roses and garden flowers, a colorful bouquet, on a white ground. The mug is a burgendy color and is highlighted in gold for accent. The condition is excellent and the mug dates 1850. The presentation reads, A "Present From A Friend" in Gold script. The inside rim of the mug is decorated in gilt.
An outstanding 19th century Rockingham botanical dessert service consisting of 8 plates and 2 comports. The plates are 8 3/4" and the tazzas are also 8 3/4 and stand 3 1/2" high.
Set on a white ground and surrounded by a green border are hand painted and decorated flowers, those found in English Country Gardens. The whole is trimmed in gilt in the center and to the outside. Pinks, blues, shades of yellow all combine to decorate these very special plates. The condition is excellent and the set is mid 19th Century.
